rumor has it that the dubs himself is creepin to bogota sometime between mar 8-14. which should be tremendous for several reasons. first, when he visited cartagena, a much smaller, coastal city, the colombian gov't moved 15,000 troops into the city for his security. so the shut-down of the capital should be fun for all. second, no president has been here since JFK in '61; it'll be fun to compare w's new military aid commitment to jfk christening a low-income housing development (that still bears his name). and third, the embassy asked the fulbrights for volunteers to be escorts and runners for the white house press corps. you know i done signed up. i'll ask him about his experience with toilets if i get close.
